Telehouse America

THE CHALLENGE: I

Telehouse America, owned by KDDI Japan (the AT&T of Japan), manages Data Center and Colocation Services for companies worldwide. Their site was in the redesign stage when they met Studio K&M. They infered that perhaps they would ask for a usability evaluation, once the site launched. We convinced them that an analysis needed to take place BEFORE the site launched in order for it to be cost effective. Doing a usability study after a site launches, can double the cost of fixing errors if done beforehand.

HOW WE DID IT

Studio K&M reviewed the Photoshop files of the site’s design and worked closely with the design studio in charge and the client, pointing out subtle tips to increase the user-friendliness of the site. We provided insights and recommendations in the form of reports and PowerPoint presentations.

THE RESULTS

We saved the company money by suggesting changes to make the site more usable BEFORE it launched and assured that the site was designed for optimal search engine indexing. Combined with an SEO effort, the site now ranks on the first page of the top search engines, and their sales have more than doubled.

THE CHALLENGE: II

At the same time that Telehouse America undertook a redesign of their site, they also upped their marketing and had a need for effective promotional materials. Convinced of Studio K&M expertise, they engaged us to create three informational brochures and a folder to hold promotional collateral.

THE RESULTS

They were so pleased with our designs, that there were NO revisions requested. In fact, we offered two versions of designs to choose from and they decided to go with BOTH.

The collateral has armed their sales force with powerful and effective sales tools, contributing to a seven-fold increase in inquiries and sales.
